Museum Bees

In 2016, while wandering the Atlanta market, we came upon a collection that was so amazing and beautiful it stopped us in our tracks. We met Trace Mayer, creator of Museum Bees, immediately started collecting – and we haven’t stopped since!

Carefully created from Antique Frames, each Museum Bee bridges the beauty of 19th Century American Craftsmanship into the Modern. The first was Napoleon's Bee, and that is where the name derives. All are original works of art.

Museum Bees range in size from 1" to 7" and the great majority of which are all made from recycled antique picture frames. The frames integrate gilded ornaments such as horses, dogs, insects, ceramics, curiosities, and Antique objects into the compositions.

These beautiful little works of signed art make a lovely gift, or a stunning personal collection – we have found so many perfect places for Museum Bees in our homes – we know you will too.
